
What may well be the world's smallest Christmas greeting has been fabricated by the University of Glasgow's nanotech lab. The Christmas tree has been etched into a piece of glass too small to see with the naked eye. David Cumming, a prof at the U of G, states "The card is 200 micro-meters wide by 290 micro-meters tall. To put that into some sort of perspective, a micro-meter is a millionth of a meter." As you can see from the image here, a pin head nearly dwarfs this belated holiday hello.
