Not So Awesome 8.9 Earthquake

In case you haven't heard, Japan was rocked by a magnitude 8.9 earthquake this past thursday (3/10/11). The quake has left nuclear power plants dangerously crippled, sent a series of destructive tidal waves across the pacific ocean, and altered the axis of the earth itself. And you thought a road being unzipped was bad. Read more about the quake here; and about the ring of fire here.

  1. The damage and destruction from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan looks massive! I hope the United States and other countries make substantial contributions to the relief efforts there.
